Traveling with pets is super common these days.

In fact, it’s been years since I last took a flight and didn’t see a dog at an airport, and this is especially true for Denver International Airport.

Pet relief areas can be found at all commercial airports, but that doesn’t mean that all are created the same. Some are way better than others.

The pet relief areas at Denver Airport are some of the best.

They’re located throughout the airport – so you won’t have to walk far to get to one – and the best part is that they have indoor and outdoor ones.

When I’m traveling with my pets, I like to know:

  • Where the pet relief areas are (and how far I’ll have to walk)
  • What the pet relief areas look like (this is especially important if you have a picky dog
  • The condition of them. Are they clean? Are they smelly?

This guide will cover all of this – and more.

Indoor Pet Relief Areas at Denver Airport

There are multiple indoor pet relief areas in each concourse, and they’re conveniently located so you never have to walk too far to access one.

Concourse A Indoor Pet Relief Locations

  • Center Core A area, right before A40: closest relief areas to the underground train. You’ll also want to use this one if you’re leaving from Gates A40-A52
  • Near A17
  • Near A25

Concourse B Indoor Pet Relief Locations

  • Center Core B area, right before B37: closest relief areas to the underground train. You’ll also want to use this one if you’re leaving from Gates B38-B60.
  • Near B16 (which also happens to be next to the nicest human bathroom at DEN)
  • Near B69

Concourse C Indoor Pet Relief Locations

  • Center Core C area, right before C40: closest relief areas to the underground train. You’ll also want to use this one if you’re leaving from Gates C23- C38.
  • Near C62
  • Near C53

You enter each pet relief area via a designated door off the main walkway area (similar to how you’d enter a human bathroom).

Each relief area contains artificial grass – (with drainage), a hose, a sink, hand dryer, paper towels and doggie bags. They’re also decorated in a very Colorado theme.

Overall, these areas are nicely maintained. They’re clean and pretty spacious.

They are a little smelly – which honestly is expected given that you’re in a small indoor bathroom – but the smell isn’t too bad. They’re better than most places and perfectly acceptable to any dog owner.

Outdoor Pet Relief Area at Denver Airport

The outdoor pet relief areas at Denver Airport are the BEST, and if you have the time, I recommend checking them out.

There is one outdoor pet relief area in each concourse, and it’s located at the far end of one side. This is important to note because depending on your gate location and time schedule, it might not be the easiest relief area space to access.

It takes between 10-20 minutes to walk to each end from the center of the concourse to one end. If you use the moving walkways, it will take 10 minutes. If you don’t, it will take around 20 minutes. Some dogs may not like moving walkways, so it’s worth mentioning the difference in time.

If you really want to use the outdoor area, check your gate location and how much time you have until boarding. Depending on where your gate is, you may not have enough time to get to the outdoor area.
