About

Hi! I’m Laura, and I’m a self-proclaimed ‘Denver Airporter’.

I love the Denver Airport. I love traveling through the airport, I love talking about the airport, and I love giving people travel advice when it comes to the airport.

I’m also here a lot.

I started this blog to help people get the most out of their travel experience here, whether they’re traveling to, from, or through the Denver Airport. This blog is not just for visitors to Denver – it’s also for Denver locals who fly out of the airport, and it’s also for those who might be transiting through DEN.

But why should you trust my planning tips and advice?

Well, first off, I actually live here.

I’m a Denver resident and a frequent “user” of the Denver Airport. I’ve flown in and out of DEN regularly for the last 10 years – sometimes multiple times per week – and I think it’s only fair to be giving advice on a service you actually use or travel you’ve actually done.

Second, I’m a travel industry “insider”.

I’ve spent my professional career in the travel industry and most recently managed the entire state of Colorado for one of the biggest online travel agencies. This gave me the opportunity to travel to virtually every destination in the state (via DEN of course) and work directly with key players in the industry.

My approach to this blog is a result of both my professional and personal travel experience. I’ve worn “all the hats” – I’ve been a supplier, a leisure traveler, a business traveler, a family traveler, a millennial traveler and a couples traveler. I like to look at things from all traveler perspectives.

Third, I am actually allowed to give my opinion.

This sounds like a strange selling point, but this simply means that I can provide honest feedback and tips in a way that airports/airlines/hotels/destination marketing organizations can’t. The airport, for example, isn’t going to tell you that one restaurant is better than another. It’s also not going to tell you when it might be better to use another airport or how you can save money on a rental car. I can!

And last but certainly not least, I love the Denver Airport.

The food here is the best. There are so many different destinations to travel to. It’s super convenient. It’s constantly growing. And, once you get the hang of it, it’s not challenging to navigate at all.

I hope you enjoy your experience at DEN!
